Why does my character with a higher SPD stat perform actions later than another character with a lower SPD stat?

The SPD stat makes it easier for a character to perform an action earlier than other characters the higher their SPD value is.
A character with a high value for their SPD stat is not guaranteed to always perform their actions first.

1. Go to the Character Growth screen.
2. Tap the button to open the Stats screen.
3. Tap the button to open the Help screen.
