■Turns
The word ""turn"" used in skill descriptions
can refer to either of the following.
・The TURN count written at the top of the battle screen
・The turn count of a character's action phases
■The TURN Count Written at the Top of the Battle Screen
This refers to the turn count referenced in conditions such as
""the Xth turn,"" ""in X turns,"" or ""from the Xth turn.""
It is also referenced in the following.
At the start of a/each turn:
Refers to the TURN count displayed at the top of the battle screen,
which changes after all characters' action phases have ended.
At the end of a/each turn:
Refers to the TURN count displayed at the top of the battle screen,
after all characters' action phases have ended,
up until the next turn count is displayed.
During a turn/This turn:
Refers to the TURN count displayed at the top of the battle screen,
up until the next turn count is displayed.
Over the past X turns:
Refers to all turns up to the specified number of turns prior to
the current turn, based on the current turn count.
■The Turn Count of a Character's Action Phases
This refers to the turn count referenced in conditions
such as the duration of buffs or debuffs, like in ""for X turns.""
For X turns:
Refers to the number of action phases until
the specified buff or debuff the specified character
is enhanced or afflicted with ends.
If a buff or debuff is applied to a character,
such as when that character's active skill grants them a buff,
from the time that character starts their action phase
until that action phase ends,
that buff or debuff's effect will immediately be applied,
but the effect turn count for that buff or debuff will start
after the end of their action phase the following turn.
