The following are the 3 types of attacks that are dealt to random targets.
-
Attacks to X Random Enemies
- The designated number of enemies in the enemy party are attacked at the same time
- During 1 skill activation, even if there are more designated targets than there are enemies left alive in the enemy party, 1 enemy will not be selected as a target more than 1 time
- Even if an enemy uses [Taunt] to be a target, if the number of designated targets is 2 or more, other characters will also become targets
-
X Attacks to Enemies at Random
- The designated number (X) of attacks is dealt to the enemy party, and 1 random target is selected for each individual attack
-
X Attacks to 1 Random Enemy
- Only 1 enemy is selected at random from the enemy party to be the target, and the designated number (X) of attacks are dealt solely to them
- If the target is defeated while there are still a number of attacks remaining, a new target is selected at random, and the remaining attacks are dealt to them
| Skill Example 1 | “Deals 1 physical attack to 5 random enemies” |
| Enemy Party | 3 enemies + 2 defeated enemies |
| Outcome |
3 enemies are selected at random, and attacked at the same time. Once an enemy has been selected to be a target, they will not be re-selected, so the attack will end without the remaining 2 targets being selected. |
| Skill Example 2 | “Deals 10 magical attacks to enemies at random” |
| Enemy Party | 5 enemies |
| Outcome |
The 10 attacks are dealt to the enemy party, with 1 random enemy being selected as a target for each individual attack. |
| Skill Example 3 |
“Deals 10 physical attacks to 1 random enemy” |
| Enemy Party | 2 enemies: Enemy A, who can be defeated with 1 attack, and Enemy B, who has enough HP to take all the attacks |
| Outcome |
If 1 attack is dealt to Enemy A and they are defeated, the remaining 9 attacks will be dealt to Enemy B. Or, all 10 attacks are dealt to Enemy B, and Enemy A is not attacked. |
