- If both of the 2 adjacent characters can be selected:
The 2 adjacent characters will be selected.- *This selection will only apply if all of the original targets for the skill are still selectable.
- If 1 of the 2 adjacent characters cannot be selected:
Only the other adjacent character will be selected.- *If the intended number of targets is not selectable, the number of targets selected for the skill will decrease to the number that is actually selectable.
- If neither of the 2 adjacent characters are selectable:
1 random character will be selected.- *If the total intended number of targets for the skill is not selectable, the total number of intended targets will not be randomly selected, and instead, the number of targets selected will be forcibly decreased to 1.
Being enhanced with the [Invisibility] buff, or when the character who uses the skill is placed at either end of the party formation with no characters adjacent to them, are also cases where a character cannot be selected.
【If the character using the skill, or an enemy directly in front of that character, is included in the skill’s effect】
- The character using the skill and the 2 allies adjacent to them
- The enemy directly in front of the character using the skill and the 2 enemies adjacent to that enemy
If either of the above are targets of the skill, the 1 central target and 2 targets adjacent to them will be included in the skill’s effect, for a total of [3 adjacent targets] being selected as targets for the skill.
Therefore, in the event that any of the 3 targets are not selectable, the previously stated rules will still be applied.
For example, if the enemy directly in front of the character using the skill has been defeated, because the 3 enemy targets are treated as 1 group, the remaining 2 enemy targets will be selected, and the enemy directly in front of the character will not be able to be selected again.
